In addition to the beautiful mountain views, one can clearly see the pleasure that children, teens, adults and seniors share as they experience God’s nature. For more than 50 years, Camp Grandview has been a place of rest and relaxation for folks of all ages and from all walks of life.
For city youth and adults alike, Camp Grandview provides a unique experience that enriches their lives. Youth learn to combine character with athletics, recovering addicts find joy and exhilaration outside of drugs or alcohol, adults realign their priorities, senior fill otherwise lonely hours with hours of fellowship and fresh air.
One week at The Salvation Army Camp Grandview will open the door of opportunity for a child.For many kids who are neglected or come from troubled homes, camp offers a place of gentleness and peace as well as being somewhere to enjoy nature, fresh air, exercise, three nutritious meals a day and lots of laughter.
Thanks to the generosity of the community,last year more than 1,850 children from Georgia were able to attend camp, where they play sports,swam, made crafts and also learned important new life skills that will stand them in good stead for the future.
