The Salvation Army of Milledgeville, Georgia

One thing never changes in our community: There are always hungry people. But our food supplies are always changing . . . and right now, they’re running very low. Please help us stock our shelves today, so we won’t have to turn away a single hungry neighbor.

With each Christmas Season there are miracles and challenges and this season displayed both for us to be reminded how blessed we truly are not just at Christmas but all during the year.

Our miracles came through generous acts of kindness to others in need.  Many of you donated money and food to help others that were experiencing an emergency and needed a hand-up.  Others donated time away from work, family and friends to help The Salvation Army – St Marys Service Center meet our goals in December.

All challenges can always be overcome with God’s assistance and a plan to work through the obstacles that life places in front of us.  We will always be challenged in our daily life but I always know that we will overcome anything in due time and at the end of the day be able to thank God for his continued love and assistance in our lives.

I sincerely hope that you, your family and friends had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  I now look forward to meeting our goals in 2014 with your continued support.  Every person has a skill-set that we could put to good use at The Salvation Army.  Please reach out to me should you want to become more involved in helping others in your community.

The Salvation Army St. Marys Service Center did a lot of good in 2013…here’s a recap!

  • January 22, 2013 – “Filling Camden’s Pantries” filled 9 Camden County pantries with food collected during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season in 2012.
  • Annual Meeting – 85 Local and State attendees to honor those who serve with The Salvation Army locally to help others who need us most.  Donors and Volunteers were recognized for service hours and financial commitments and partnerships. Majors Gary and Beth Sturdivant gave the program for the evening.
