SERVICES

The Salvation Army throughout Georgia is serving people every day of the year. From helping a family with a bag of groceries to providing a bed for them to sleep in, we are there because our friends and supporters want us there as much as we feel a need to serve. Here are just a few of the services offered thanks to our generous supporters as we strive to live up to our promise of Doing The Most Good.

As of October 1, 2007 your Salvation Army in Georgia:

Served 245,900 of our neighbors

Provided 231,164 nights of lodging in Salvation Army facilities

Distributed 266,925 articles of clothing

Prepared and served 640,844 meals

Filled 47,823 grocery orders

Helped 16,230 families with their energy needs

We did not do this alone, not only were your contributions necessary to offer these service, we were blessed with 245,753 hours of work from over 1,800 volunteers. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, their invaluable services saved The Salvation Army over $4,600,000 if we had to fund their support of our work. We are extremely grateful to our tremendous army of volunteers!
